Here we go!

ABOUT THIS
So I guess I'm a game developer now...
Of course, I'm really not, I'm just screwing around trying to learn Unity. But because this is not my first time wasting time trying to learn something new, I've decided to try to take this seriously and even go ahead writing a devlog. Maybe this will help keep me focused, and even if I never end up completing the game at least I'll have this wonderful reminder of my failure.

ABOUT THE GAME
Pluto's Revenge is very simple top down shooter where you play as the titular planet and are tasked with surviving ever more difficult waves of enemies. At the start of the game you have a basic turret that can shoot on every direction, a planetary armor that can rotate around the planet protecting from incoming enemies and bullets and planetary shield. After every wave you can pick one upgrade from a 3 randomized options. These can improve your systems or add new weapons like missile launchers.
Right now the game looks like crap because I'm trying to force myself to develop and test all the gameplay elements as much as possible before doing any kind of graphics or sound. I feel like this is the smart way to go about this (I ma so tired of looking at monochromatic shapes however).

ABOUT THE FUTURE
I have most of the basic systems working and several enemies and upgrades are already coded in. So it's pretty much a "functional" game. There's still some stuff to add like score system. more upgrades and enemies. Of course it also needs A TON of balancing and refinement and pretty much everything in the graphics and sound department.
I hope the next posts shows a better looking game.

Thanks for reading kind stranger.
